Tasting notes
Intense ruby red color. On the nose, flowers and small red fruit aromas. Elegant, with velvety tannins, which integrate with the acidity. Persistent finish, expression of the Brolio territory.
"A succulent, fruity red with dried-cherry and orange-peel aromas and flavors. It’s medium-to full-bodied with fine yet round tannins and a juicy, fruity finish". Score 91/100.James Suckling 2021
"Once again, Brolio delivers a highly satisfying glass of Chianti Classico from the estate’s expansive vineyards in Gaiole. The 2019 is balsamic in personality with scents of cedar, thyme and rosemary weaving through dark cherry. Velvety, powdery tannins provide a gentle, structural grip, while crunchy, citrussy acidity cleanses the mouth. With an annual production of approximately 500,000 bottles, it is impressive that the quality is so consistently high." Tasted for Decanter by Michaela Morris (at Vancouver, 25 Mar 2021).
