A pure Sangiovese capable of celebrating all the magnificent qualities of this varietal, further enhanced by the small size of the vineyard of the same name. This Cru grows on the great valley of the River Arbia, in the southernmost part of the property. The soil, very distinctive and complex, originates from an ancient river terrace.

CENIPRIMO Chianti Classico Gran Selezione

Distinctive traits: intense nose with hues of fresh fruit and violets, and balsamic notes

CeniPrimo is located on an Ancient River Terrace. The vineyard of just 6 hectares, is located 300 meters above sea level and has a south-west aspect.

Harvest: The grapes of CeniPrimo vineyard were hand-picked on September 22, 2022.
Ageing: 22 months in 500-litre tonneaux of which 30% new and 70% second passage.
Bottling: January 15th, 2025.
Alcohol: 14,50 % vol.

Tasting notes
Intense ruby red color.  The nose is very complex, with notes of ripe fruit, violets, spices and balsamic hints. It enters the mouth elegantly and voluminously, with excellent acidity and a tannic texture. The finish is long and persistent.
